About the Journal
BioWallacea: Jurnal Penelitian Biologi (Journal of Biological Research) is a national, peer-reviewed scientific journal managed and published by the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Halu Oleo University, Kendari. The journal is officially registered with ISSN 2355-6404 (print) and ISSN 2685-6360 (online). As a dedicated platform for scientific dissemination, BioWallacea is committed to publishing high-quality scientific articles biannually, specifically in May and November. BioWallacea invites authors and researchers to submit original research articles that have not been previously published elsewhere. Submitted manuscripts may take the form of empirical research (both laboratory and field-based), conceptual ideas, critical literature reviews, or practical applications of theories. All submissions must be well-written and significantly contribute to current advancements in the field of biological sciences. The journal focuses broadly on core biological sciences, applied biology, and closely related allied disciplines. Its scope encompasses biodiversity, taxonomy, botany, zoology, microbiology, physiology, and ecophysiology, as well as ecology and marine biology. Furthermore, BioWallacea accommodates developments in modern and applied biology—including biotechnology, biochemistry, genetics, cell and molecular biology—alongside research addressing contemporary environmental issues, such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA/AMDAL).
